Friendsgiving

The Sunday before Thanksgiving our friends Jewels, Nat and whit threw a Friendsgiving dinner for everyone at their house. Everyone had to dress up either as a pilgrim or Indian, so I put on my feather headdress I made two years ago for Halloween. The food was delicious; turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, salad, rolls, it was a full on Thanksgiving dinner! Before we feasted we read a passage from the bible (the bible we read from was massive!) and then held hands and said grace. Is unreal.

Some of my first dates have consisted of the boy doing a somersault, talking about his calculator, wanting to have a tickle fight and my all time favorite a blind date where the kid did not say one word to me... not one word.

But I don't think anything can top this.

Because then there is the other side, me. I'm positive that all the boys who I have gone on dates with could make a similar list like the one above of weird stupid things I have done and said.

Exhibit A: At the beginning of this year my good friend Dustin and I went on a date. I made a fool of myself within the first 2 minutes, not even 2 minutes probably in the first minute of the date. (While typing this I just found myself slapping my forehead because I'm so embarrassed to even be telling this story). Anyways he comes and picks me up and as we are pulling out of my driveway he says, "So this is where you live huh?" Thinking I'm all clever I come back with, "Yep.. this is my turf!" I could have just stopped right there and not have said anything else and would have be fine. But no, I'm an idiot. As we are rounding the corner out of my neighborhood I decide to top it off with, "There's lots of cats on this street...lots and lots of cats."It went silent, there was not a cat in sight. Why did those words leave my mouth? Why? I have never made that comment before in my life, I thought I was going to wet my pants. That comment has cost me millions, no but I swear it's always a conversation starter. My mom is always looking for opportunities where I can tell this story.

At the beginning of October Dustin and my friends Mallory and Brittany came up to Logan to celebrate my birthday one last time. We were all standing in Anna's room (including Morgan) when I notice all of them are wearing zip up jackets. One of them says, "Emily isn't it kind of hot in here?" Then they all proceeded to unzip there jackets and revealed THIS...

The best Holiday is finally here. I finally fulfilled my dream of being Elliot from E.T. It was a huge success.

The picture on the package that the wig was in was very deceiving. It was suppose to be a smooth Justin Bieber type of hair style but instead turned out to be completely all over the place and raggedy. So we took it to Anna's hair salon and trimmed it up a bit. Morgan, Anna and I could not stop laughing at how awful I looked in that dang wig. But it turned out beautifully.

Went shooting for the first time on Saturday and it was a beautiful fall day. Chad, Logan, Morgan, Alyssa and I packed up the car and headed up the canyon. Believe it or not but I can now say the first gun I ever shot was a shot gun! I of course screamed when I pulled the trigger and my form was ridiculous as you can tell in the pictures. Never did I ever picture myself throwing skeet with Morgan by my side, shot gun in hand ready to shoot. Cousins...

I find myself at first dam once a week. Either eating my dinner or talking to my sisters and friends on the phone. My favorite was one weekend I was on the phone with my sister Andrea and she's all, "Where are you? I can hear honking!" One time I was eating my dinner and I was literally the only single person there. I was surrounded by couples, even a cute couple out on a canoe in the water. A canoe, I would love one for Christmas. CHEERS to the single life! Not.

The weekend before Zach and Emily came up to Logan for a day. They took me grocery shopping, greatest birthday present ever! As we are about to walk into Lee's Zach says, "Ok Emily we are going to do this like Supermarket sweep. You have 30 seconds to run through the store and get as much food in your cart as you can and we will pay for it for your birthday." Right as we walk in the store he tells me he's kidding. But I secretly really wanted to have 30 seconds like on Supermarket sweep. Can you even imagine how hilarious that would have looked to people in the store? Afterwards we went and ate dinner at Cafe Sabor. A Bateman favorite.

Birthday started off in the morning with Anna coming in my room with a present in hand. She woke me up and sang happy birthday to me, then we went for a run. It was perfect weather for a run in the morning. Later on in the day Morgan, Anna and I went and fed the ducks at first dam. I'm not kidding when we arrived there was only one duck in sight. I began feeding it some bread, it let out a quack, then all of the sudden ducks came swimming toward us from all different directions. A sight we all couldn't believe.

What we couldn't believe was as I'm feeding them I was standing underneath a power line when I hear a splat on my arm. I turn and a bird's poo had perfectly landed on me. Morgan says, "of course," Anna snorts from laughter and I gag.

Mom, Dad, Amy and Jay came up and took me and the roommates to dinner at Cafe Sabor. Yes I ate there twice for my birthday, so delicious. As we are sitting down at our table I notice that there are 3 extra chairs, totally oblivious I think, "why would they add another little table?" When all of the sudden my beautiful best friends Karli, Janey and Hailey come around the corner singing happy birthday! I can't remember a time where I have been more excited. It was the best surprise I could have ever asked for! Shoot now here I am at work writing this getting teary eyed about it. I'm so blessed it's unreal. The servers at Cafe Sabor brought me fried ice cream, sang happy birthday to me and stuck a huge sombrero on my head.
After dinner we went to our guy friends house and ate cake and ice cream. The cake was by far THE best birthday cake I have ever received. My jaw dropped when Morgan brought it out.
Janey being her witty self came up with, "Yoda Birthday Girl!" Ha I died. As the night went on we played some Mario Kart, which I dominated. Brothers and sisters of mine, thank you for teaching me the ways. I even took out the leading champion of Mario Kart last night.

I can't thank everyone enough for making my birthday one of a kind! I seriously am so blessed for the friends and family I have. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Love you all!

Last night there I was playing Bingo trying my hardest to win a free t.v. for our apartment. I had 12 boards and I was working them all at one time. I notice that I am only 2 spots away from black out, I begin to stand up in excitement while saying, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" My second "Oh" blew all my bingo pieces away. I'm still upset.

Yesterday I found myself riding around campus on a golf cart with Wild Bill
The best decision I have ever made is registering for a trampoline class. I start my week off jumping on a trampoline, it's heaven. Although I bite my tongue every time this girl goes to jump on the tramp. She simply tries to land sitting position and some how does an ariel and falls off the tramp.
In one of my classes my professor talked to us about preparing now for grad school since next fall is when we will apply. I thought my mind was going to explode. Me grad school? already? I'm just a kid!
Morgan taught me how to break a pencil with one finger. I'm still in shock.
Learned how to drive a stick shift last week. I'm surprised the car didn't blow up.
I was told by a foreign exchange student from Holland that I talk like I have a potato in my mouth.
A little boy came running up to me on campus holding a box that had one popsicle left in it. When I said yes to having it he ran away arms in the air yelling, "Yay! Yay! Yay!"
Qi's car was impounded. He has been here for 5 years and has never gotten a U.S. driver's license. He claims he was "too lazy". I went and helped him pick it up then had to drive it home. My favorite part of it all though was while driving I asked him if he hung out with Morgan over the Summer and his reply was, "I text her then she never text me back. I hate her for that."

Granite Flats... It's Tradition!

Ezra was making me laugh so hard this trip. When he saw the last picture of himself he lost it and went around showing everyone in camp. I drove up from work everyday to camp with my family. I love Granite Flats and being able to sleep outside in a tent and tell funny stories with my brothers and sisters around the campfire. Wednesday was my day off so some of us headed up to hike Timp. You can only go about halfway, unless you're Patrick Davies, because its covered in glaciers. It was still an amazing hike and is absolutely beautiful right now. There are waterfalls everywhere which usually aren't there. Amy, my cousin Jess and I slid down a shoot that someone had made down the glacier, so fun and hilarious. At camp Zach showed off his incredible speed walking skills, we even had a race and he wasted me. Also I found out that I am an incredible/uncoordinated hula hooper. Thanks again Grandma Bateman for putting Granite Flats all together like you do every year!

Went to California with my best friend Jane and her older brother Danny last week. It was so fun to be big nerds together at the beach and Disneyland. Might I mention that we got into Disneyland for free! Cheapest vacation of my life! Home cooked meals every night, took a cooler of food into the park, definitely the way to go. While in the water at the beach I told Jane that I wanted to yell, "SHARK!" She said that it would be like yelling bomb at an airport. Classic. We stayed with the Griffin Family who are the sweetest people on the planet. At church on Sunday we all agreed that we heard one of the worst sacrament meeting performances. The dad said that it was right up there with the lady who once brought her own karaoke machine. On our way home we stopped at Buffalo Bills and rode the roller coaster. I screamed the entire time and my headband literally shot off my head toward the end of the ride. I am slowly getting braver with roller coasters, Buffalo Bills was a big break through for me. California and the Griffin Family, I miss you already.

I don't know if anyone fully understands how amazing our Grandma Bateman is. I hope I'm still as adventurous as she is when I reach her age. After returning from a 3 week Civil War trip back East she headed straight to Glacier National Park with her family. A trip she has been planning to take the whole Bateman Family on for a quite a while, having to reserve 21 rooms in the hotel. After only a day of being home she is already putting together her traditional 4th of July breakfast for everyone. I am thankful for her and everything that she has done for us. She is one amazing woman.

We spent this past week in Glacier. It was so fun to have the whole family together on vacation, definitely one of those things that doesn't happen very often which made it so much more worth while. We hiked, saw lots of mountain goats, at one point had two big horned sheep walk right in front us, flew on a helicopter which was by far my favorite, laughed until we cried and of course saw lots of trains. At one point my dad had no hands on the steering wheel and had Eric steer while he took pictures out the window of trains.

Eric: "English Bulldogs are chubby and little with short legs."

Jay: "Oh like me!"

Me: "They live here dad so they can do whatever they want."

Amy: "They're Butte holes!"

Jay: "Best part of that hike was... me."

Eric: "We only druuve 20 miles."

Me: "Yep i'm definitely writing that one down in my journal."

Me: "Dad are you listening to this? Andrea has only worn a seatbelt twirce on this trip."

Eric: "Twirce! Write that down. You make fun of me for mispronouncing."

Zach: "Jay's looking at the man in the mirror."

Me: "Wondering if he should make a change."

Jay: "I will!"

Ezra: "Aunt Emily when I was in the helicopter there was voice inside my head that told me to open the door and another voice inside my head that told me to keep it closed. I almost opened it but then decided to listen to the voice to keep it closed because I knew it was the right thing to do."

I was left speechless.

The other day my friend Corey took me to this place called Recycled Bicycles that is full of vintage bikes. I was like a kid on Christmas morning, loving every bike I looked at. Just when you thought it was over.. oh how wrong you were. While Anna was home in Sandy over the weekend Morgan and I decided to be a little mischievous. Friday night Morgan and I both looked at each wondering what we could do to entertain ourselves when I spot Wowee Kazow out of the corner of my eye. I picked her up and heard Morgan say, "wallpaper." That's when we went to work and began our little factory of creating 250 copies of Wowee Kazow's face and completely covering Anna's side of the room with them. Her reaction, "NOOOOOOOO... I hate this!" Perfect.

First off Anna and I decided to be each others Valentine's this year. The deal was that we had to make each other hand made cards. This morning I came home from class and found this card on my desk from my Valentine. Jealous?

Second off, after receiving my hand made card I went to check my email, little did I know what was waiting for me. To my amazement I found these from the one and only Mallory. I have been laughing all day just thinking about these. Please notice that two of the cat's are smiling. I'm laughing right now as I'm writing this.

Third, if you haven't heard about Wowee Kazow yet, please read Anna's blog and it will explain everything! After making Camille look like a missing child I then placed her in a little plastic bag and put her in Anna's cereal so that when she went to pour herself some cereal Camille would fall right out into the bowl looking like a prize. Once Anna discovered her it was then her turn to place Camille back in my life. Last week I was about to draw Morgan a bath I opened the curtain and to my surprise found this above the faucet.

Yes that would be a handmade loofah with a fly on it.

My adorable friend Kelsey got married this past weekend. Anna, Karli and I were able to come down from Logan and watch her come out of the temple then later go to her reception. At one point while they were taking family pictures at the temple I hear Anna yell, "Grandma down! Grandma down!" The Grandma then popped up for the picture saying, "heh I lost my glasses." Congrats Kelsey and Cam!

That's it I'm done, DONE! Walking to work this morning was a nightmare, I wanted to die. It is approximately 3 degrees outside and the canyon wind is blowing. There have been many occasions where I have been extremely cold in my life, but this morning's cold beat them all! Can I come home already please? Oh wait no sorry Emily you can't because you have a final on Friday that you have to take, while every other normal human being gets to head home for Christmas break. I'm letting a foreign exchange student borrow one of my suitcases over the break for his trip to Hawaii, he doesn't own one because he has been at Utah State for 3 straight years and has never left. In mid-conversation of asking him about his trip he hit his face and said, "ah no I forgot!" He proceeded to pretend like he was opening and closing a zipper with his hands and then started waving his arms in a circular motion. I still could not tell what he was trying to communicate, so he started walking around in circles pretending like he was pulling something behind him. "You need a suitcase?" This past weekend I went home for fall break and was able to just lay back and spend time with the family. I was able to eat delicious food including these yummy tacos, homemade tomato soup and cheese muffins. This weekend included a hike to donut falls, a trip to a pumpkin patch, farmer's market (my favorite thing to go to in the fall), and a day in park city with the cutest nephews around. I miss it all already.

Sometimes I really amaze myself with how fast I can get ready in the morning. Woke up at 6:15 this morning and was out the door by 6:50. In that time span I managed to squeeze in a 15 minute bubble bath. Washed my hair and everything. I have decided that I am a terrible roommate. This weekend I found myself confessing to Morgan all these things I have done without her ever noticing. For example I used her body wash for 2 weeks straight because I was out, she leaves her water bottle on her desk all night and one time in the middle of the night I woke up and I was so thirsty that I jumped up grabbed her water bottle and drank the whole thing, last night I set two alarms to make sure that I would wake up this morning to be on time to work. I usually just use my alarm on my cell phone but I also decided to set my alarm clock which I completely forgot sounds like a fire drill because I have not used it forever. It goes off this morning and the sound empowers the entire room, I look over and see poor Morgan shoot up out of bed as if we are going to need to evacuate the premises. What amazes me is that Morgan was laughing so hard she was brought to tears when I was telling her all the things I have done. How did I luck out with such a care free lovable roommate/cousin? I swear she has to put up with the stupidest things too. My mom gave me about 4-5 boxes of German chocolate cookies toward the beginning of school and I knew that if I didn't think of some way to span how many cookies I could have each week that all the boxes would be gone in a few days. Morgan and I came up with this plan where she would hide the boxes throughout the entire apartment and at the end of each day could give me a cookie if and only if I had been good that day. She decided to take it to a whole new level by finding different ways to lead me to the German chocolate cookie. For example she had me go on scavenger hunt through out the apartment which eventually lead me to the bath tub and in it was a present made out of paper with a cookie inside, another time she left one resting in my hand ball glove, and the best one was she put one at the bottom of my oatmeal. I leave the room for 2 seconds and come back to eat my oatmeal, right as I stick my spoon in it is immediately stopped by the sound of a plastic rustle so I scoot my oatmeal aside and find a German chocolate cookie at the bottom of my bowl. She has had to put up with me begging her to give me another cookie but she never backs down and always tells me I'm only allowed one a day. I even found one of the hidden boxes one day and started ripping it to shreds, she had to throw me to the ground and have Karli get rid of it. I swear these are the type of stories you are suppose to be hearing from the other side like, "I have this roommate who has this sick of obsession with these so called German chocolate cookies, her alarm clock sounds like a fire drill, she used my body wash for weeks, and in the middle of the night she will drink all my water out of my water bottle as if it's nobody's business!" I promise I will be better Morgan, how bout I buy you Taco Bell because I know how much you love it?

P.S. I think I'm going to save up my money and invest in one of these. I absolutely love the pictures they take.

Finally it's October, I think October may just be my favorite month of all. You have fall, Halloween, pumpkins, general conference, and you now know that the holidays are just around the corner. What I would give to be home this weekend for general conference and to wake up to caramel pull a parts made by THE Karma Jean Bateman, color in coloring books with my sisters, play games with the family, have a Sunday dinner, play with my nephews, see the wasatch mountains as the leaves are changing, play Dr. Mario for hours and hours, and to just simply have the comfort of being home. I guess you could say a certain little chicken is a little home sick. But I shouldn't complain since I am lucky enough to have my home only a hour and a half away and that some of my family was able to come up to Logan last week and that I have great friends who are coming up to visit this afternoon. Family I will be seeing you in 2 weeks and I can't wait.

Few fun facts about me..

- I had a pet snail named Jennifer when I was younger
- I have never been good at drinking out of drinking fountains, never. The water always splashes on my face or gets all over my shirt. Embarrassing I know.

Flies....

Not a fan. Not a fan at all! They can just die for all I care. Here I am sitting at the library, should be studying when all I can think about is my hatred for flies. I feel like they are every where constantly staring and judging me. Their ultimate goal is to get together and talk amongst themselves whispering, "How can we get Emily this time guys?" (As they dangle their stupid little fingers together while shifting their eyes back and forth plotting.) Flies terrify me and this fear started a little over two years ago.

Tis was the weekend of my birthday and my sweet sister Amy and I were sitting in the front yard having a conversation when I notice Amy's eyes shift from my face to my head. She hesitated for a moment then said, "Umm... there has been a fly in your hair for the past ten minutes." I start freaking out and have Amy try to get it out but the little idiot just kept digging itself further into my hair. After a few minutes of struggle Amy was able to finally get the fly out (so she thought). About three hours pass and I went into the bathroom to get ready for my "surprise" party (wink wink Anna). As I am curling my hair I notice this little black thing embedded in my hair. I start moving pieces of hair to figure out what the heck it is and come to find it is THE FLY! I immediately am disgusted and start trying to hit it out of my hair but it just kept digging itself deeper in, it would not fly out. I start panicking and am finally able to get it but I'm nervous that it's going to try to fly back in so I run to my mom and dad's room to get away from it. Once I make it to their bathroom I have a sigh of relief when all of the sudden, "BUUUZZZZ!" It was back for more, it tried embedding itself back into my hair. By this time I am freaking out screaming, waving my arms in the air, and no one is home to witness any of this. I attempt to run away from it, I book it downstairs and run into the bathroom by our kitchen and slam the door shut. Again I have a sigh of relief and I begin to feel some what victorious when, "BUUZZZ!" The little punk had followed me all the way downstairs and into the bathroom! It starts digging itself back into my hair, by this point I feel like I am being attacked. I throw open the door to the bathroom, run down the hallway and out the front door but it continues to follow me and buzz in my ear. I then run to the backyard (I probably looked like a crazy person because I was running in circles arms in the air trying to get it out) but it stayed right with me, so I ran back to the front yard and into the front door. Finally I was safe but even though I was safe I was sweating bullets and gasping for air. The entire time I felt like I was being kidnapped by an insect, AN INSECT! This whole incident lasted a good five to ten minutes. Flies make me cringe every time I see them now.

A few weeks after this happened I was taking a bath and as I went to wash my body there was a fly in the loofah. The worst part is that the loofah had been sitting in the tub the entire time even when I was the filling the tub with water. So I basically took a bath with a fly.

A few weeks after the tub incident I woke up one morning and was making my bed and I lifted up one of my pillows and lying beneath it was a dead fly. I just said to myself, "You have got to be kidding me."

I think Amy Campbell depicted flies perfectly in this drawing she did.

I will never understand flies, whose with me!

p.s. met a kid named Triton the other day at my work. Think what you may.

Rope Swing

The other day Amy, Ben and I traveled down to Mona, Utah. There is a pond that is basically hidden by trees and it has this fantastic rope swing. Definitely one of the funnest things I have ever done, I highly recommend it. Here is a video I made of our night at the rope swing, my favorite clip of the whole thing is the last clip of Ben going on the rope swing. Some how it flings him and he goes flying out into the water... gets me every time.

The other day I found my old spacemaker from elementary school. Old pictures and notes were in there. But I came across one note that I had written to someone on a pink stinky note and it said..

"Did you hear what Tom said yesterday? He said I'm the teacher's pet
and I could punch her and not even get in trouble."

Oh the child I was. But we all know Tom was really the teacher's pet (Anna you with me?)

Anyways... this summer I have been working at Cowabunga Bay the water park. Believe it. I have come to find it somewhat thrilling to watch people's bodies tumble down water slides, but not so much when people have to scoot their way down the slides. There may or may have not been times when I have sent kids down the slides who are way to small and I have had to say a little prayer for them hoping they will come out alive.

A few things on my mind

- I saw a lot of pregnant people the other day at work and one too many bellies.
- I almost fulfilled my goal last week of walking out of the store with just a half gallon of milk in my hand. Don't ask why this is a goal of mine. I have just always wanted to walk out with just milk, as if I went to the store to get just what I needed and then I did. But I ended up buying some gum so it didn't work.
- I don't know what I would ever do with out music. I listen to it all day everyday, even when I go to sleep at night. I sometimes have a hard time falling asleep at night so some Andrew Bird, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, and Norah Jones usually does the trick.
- It's official I am blonde. Yes yes I know I know I have had somewhat of blonde hair. But this time it is blonde.
- I am POSITIVE I have restless leg syndrome, and it is the WORST thing ever.
- Apparently 1 out of 10 people believe that we didn't land on the moon. This guy I work with doesn't believe we landed on the moon. It was interesting to hear why haha but I'm firm in my belief that we did.
- This is probably going to sound really gross but yesterday I was with some friends and I turned to sneeze in a paper towel and after wards realized my gum was no longer in my mouth. I looked down at the paper towel and it had shot out with it. Gross but funny.
- It's been a crazy week.

I received this picture in my email today from miss Anna Campbell. I opened it while I was at work and everyone around me started bursting out laughing. How can you not love this picture ha it's hilarious! I think he is saying, "Taking it all in."

-I hate watermelon, and any other kind of melon as a matter of fact and always have... so sue me!
- I am terrified of flies. If you want the story behind this one just give me a call
- I wish I had my own horse, but asthma won't let me
- I had the school record for arm hang in elementary
- I constantly wave to people who I think are waving at me but really they are waving at the person behind me.
- I wish I was an amazing photographer who traveled around the world and took pictures
- When I was little I ran into the fire place chin first and had to get stitches. At the hospital they hypnotized me so I wouldn't feel them putting in the stitches, (That's what mom told me).
- I want to learn sign language
- I love letters
- I'm not a fan of the people on campus who have rolling back packs. But it is kind of funny to watch them struggle when there is ice or a crack on the pavement and their back packs lose control and flip over backwards. Bless their hearts.
- I want to go on a study abroad to switzerland
- any word that has -ths on the end of it I have a lisp with. Guilty
- I was a big bully in elementary school. Something I'm not proud of.
- I play handball. That is something I am proud of
- I have a honk laugh. It literally sounds like a smokers laugh. Usually when people hear it for the first time they back themselves up against a wall and say, "What was that!?" But there's nothing I can do about it.
- I'm not a fan of people who get mad easily. Just relax.
- I want to go to space.
- I wish I was Beyonce... you heard me.

6 billion others

I have become a little obsessed with this documentary called, "6 billion others." It is a bunch of interviews with people from all over the world. It has no association with the church but the interviewers ask the people questions about life, death, and god. I highly suggest you watch some of them, they are very interesting. I was watching one where they were asking people what the meaning of life is, and many of them would just shrug their shoulders and say I don't know. After watching some of these it just makes me so grateful for the missionaries. The guy in the clip below his name is Bruno and he is from Indonesia. I absolutely love everything he has to say. There was a clip I watched where they asked him, "what is your greatest fear?" He told them that someone once asked him what is greatest fear was and he said it was losing his legs and three months later he was in a car accident, became paralyzed, and lost his legs. I really like what he says in the clip below, just watch.

I have been looking into a study abroad this past month and I am determined to go. Hopefully either this fall or next spring. Currently I am thinking of going into elementary education, and so far there are universities in Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, and this island called Malta that is in between Greece and Italy that have education courses you can take. It seems that so far Finland would be the best but I am fine with going anywhere just as long as I can go! But there is only one thing holding me back and that is the price. I have been talking to my mom a lot about it and she told me that they offer jobs in Alaska for the Summer. I went onto the website for it today and there are so many job offerings. Its great hours and then when you are done with work you can go and tour Alaska. I want all of this to work out so badly! As much as I love Utah, I'm ready to get out of here for a little while and experience new things.I would love for these 2 to join me!

The other day in my Sociology class we had a show and tell, oh my goodness it was simply priceless. A girl in my class goes to the front of the classroom and proceeds to take out a dragon book and jar out of her backpack, (by then I knew it was going to be good). She starts off by saying that she has an absolute passion for dragons and her favorite of all is the sea dragon. She then opened up her book and flipped through the different images of dragons, at one point she said, "Oh I wouldn't mess with this guy!" After this she told us about her jar, "Now this is my most foreign dragon, (a dragon was painted on the jar) my friend from albertson's got it for me from croatia, and you know guys I think people think that there is only one type of dragon and that they are going to eat you but I think that's BULL CRAP! And I don't know if anyone of you has seen Beast Wars, but Megatron turned into a dragon." To top it off she showed us a video on youtube about dragons.

Is it horrible of me that during this whole time I was writing down everything she was saying? I couldn't help myself.

Mid-afternoon I'm heading to the library to work in the computer lab. As I'm walking I'm getting ready to put in my i pod when I hear an, "Excuse me?" Then a slight tap on my shoulder. I turn around and see a man who is maybe in his late 20's possibly 30 standing there looking me up and down as he slowly takes off his black circular sunglasses. Black mustache, black slicked back hair, black leather jacket, white as can be. This is how it went down...

Creep: "I'm sorry but I couldn't help but notice what you were wearing... flannel is it? I almost bought that when I was at Dillard's yesterday. I'm very impressed to see a girl wearing that, its hard to find people with that style."

Me: "Uhhhh flannel? um I think its plaid ... Thank you." I started walking so fast.

Creep: "You seem to be in a hurry." he was literally jogging next to me trying to keep up.

Me: "Ya I have work."

Creep: "Where do you work?"

Me: "The computer labs."

Creep: "No way! (as he did a little jump up and down) well then you must have the hook ups. I too work with computers. Now be honest do you play computer games?"

Me: "Uh haha no."

(we then pounded it.)

Creep: "Well my friend is throwing a party what are your plans for tonight?"

Me: "I actually have work again."

Creep: "Shoot your a busy girl, I was hoping you could come."

I got to the doors of the library and he asked me, "So how are we going to continue this?"

Me: "Uh I'll see you around," he gave me a nod of approval, and walked off smiling.

Yesterday I was walking back to my apartment from class when all of the sudden this guy walking a couple feet away from me starts singing, "We are as the army of Helaman, we have taught in our youth...in our youth, and we will be the lords missionaries to bring the world his truth." Sweet Kid.

Today in my Life Science class we were learning about how Dolly the sheep was cloned. I looked at the girl's notes who was sitting in front of me and she was drawing this, I think it's suppose to be Dolly.

I keep spacing out and today in sociology I was doodling on my paper and I wrote out sociology but I spelled it SOCIOGALLY.

In my intramural soccer game a girl pushed me to the ground (completely unnecessary) and I said, "are you kidding me?" and she was all, "Ohhhhhhhh shut up." Why that little.

Morgan came to town last weekend it was so great. This one's for you Morgan.

I am officially a college student. Utah State has been great so far, and I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. Yesterday I went and ate dinner at the market place and accidentally handed a lady my laundry card instead of my ID card, and I was, "Whoops Sorry ha!" and she had no expression on her face. Also while at the Market Place I accidentally threw garbage down the silverware shoot, I would like to apologize to who ever had to clean that up. But so far so good, I will update more stories and pictures soon.

From Traffic School and it made me feel like the stupidest person ever. The people there were complete idiots! One guy in there got a ticket for being in a HOV lane all by himself and so the officer had to explain to him why he got the ticket.

Officer: "There has to be 2 or more people in the car with you to be in that lane."

Crazy Guy: "Well what if you have dogs?"

Officer: "It must be humans."

One lady starting telling everyone about every accident she had been in and that one time her ex-husband called her wanting to her to come get him out of jail and loo dee dee do da. Ugh I just wanted to be like STOP talking so we can get out of here. I plan on never having to do that again.

James, Jackie, Amy, and I went and saw the band The Black Keys at the Gallivan Center last night. They are an incredible band and I love the lead singers voice. If you like the white stripes, cold ward kids, or phantom planet, then you will definitely like these guys!
